The Next Step
Now for some people my age, the next step would be college. Not for me. MY next step was moving out. A little bit about living on your own... it's a change. Go from mom and dad always having your back, having food in the fridge (even if it is always the same food), a car to rely on, and friends to hang out with, then it all changes. The worst parts... doing dishes and laundry I'm not kidding that's just so annoying. Especially when your lazy and you find yourself with no more dishes and no clean socks. hahaha. For me though, it was a reality check when I realized I only knew three people in all of DC. It changed quickly to one hundred and forty but at the end of a long work week it's not always so appealing to spend another night with your colleagues. No matter how wonderful they are. This quickly turned to many Saturday nights at home, but hey who can complain? So here's my message, (especially when your food stamps card fails you majorly) never take for granted those times when your asked to make the shopping list and whatever is on the list will end up in your home soon enough. Never forget to say goodnight, because here a "hey goodnight see you tomorrow" is few and far between. Miss you. (good news is I'm home soon :) )
