Sometimes It Can Be Lonely

On this the third night of Hanukkah, as easy as 1,2,3 it seems just so lonely. A small Hanukkiah lights up a dark and dim room where welcome is an idea but fight for yourself is the norm. That's DC that's the way, but whose to say a day wont come where any boys and girls can play. I'm wishing for inclusiveness, so close but just out of reach. In a city so surprisingly racially and economically divided I cannot see how it can be. So Sit here and wait, night four soon for some. The candles dance and melt away, how far have we really come? Time will tell and we will see, does change really happen can miracles be? All this but still the night is young with rest, refreshed a new days perspective comes.

Wishing Christmas would be here sooner!!
